A Known Stranger

If you only saw what was truly transpiring
The days and nights of sleeping alone
What happened in the night, you may never know.
It does not relate to trust but how well you pay attention
Because if you did, it would’ve never reached this point.
Your back turned and harsh words
Pushing me closer and closer to the edge
Of where I did not want to go.
I avoided it at every cost
Turned away at every boast
Yet you laid so far away without a word.
Emotionally broken and physically tortured
You gave me up to stranger whose name I spoke.
